Lex Legal Practice advises a global multi-asset trading platform on its Expression of Interest (EOI) submission to the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA) for licensing under the Virtual Assets Ordinance 2025.
The engagement involves the structuring and regulatory positioning of the client's proposed crypto exchange, custody, and transfer services for the Pakistani market. Mapping the client's global product suite against the categories of Virtual Asset Services contemplated by the Ordinance, and presenting the client's regulatory standing, governance, and compliance credentials to the newly established authority.
The EOI stage marks the first formal interface between global Virtual Asset Service Providers and PVARA, and lays the groundwork for the No Objection Certificate applications that follows under the maturing licensing regime.
“The Expression of Interest stage is the opening chapter of Pakistan's virtual assets story. The platforms that treat it seriously, as a regulatory submission rather than a marketing document, shall be positioned in Pakistan - soon.”
